Active Alert
March 5, 2025: Via the City of Tucson Department of Transportation and Mobility (DTM): Beginning Monday, March 10, 2025, repairs to the Diamondback Snake Bridge, which spans over Broadway between Maclovio Barraza Parkway/Barraza Aviation Highway and Euclid Avenue are scheduled to begin.
Travel lane restrictions will be in place during the project, with two lanes of travel maintained in each direction. The bridge will be closed to pedestrians and cyclists through the duration of the project, and they will be detoured onto Euclid Avenue. East and westbound pedestrian sidewalk access will also be restricted under the bridge while crews are working.
Crews are scheduled to work Monday through Thursday from about 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.
This work is scheduled to be completed by mid-June 2025. The traveling public can expect delays when driving in this work area.

February 12, 2025: Via the City of Tucson Department of Transportation and Mobility (DTM): Beginning on Monday, February 17, 2025, through Friday, March 14, 2025, daytime closures of the Sixth Avenue Underpass downtown will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, with some possible weekend closures. During the closure times, motor vehicles, bicyclists and pedestrians will be prohibited from using the underpass.
The closure will allow work crews to prep and repaint the underpass.
